Construction Career & Industry Summit 2026: Connecting Students, Alumni, and Industry Leaders

Please join us for the Construction Career and Industry Summit on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Whether you are considering the Construction Management certificate, currently enrolled in the program, or a program alum looking to grow your career, this event is designed to help you connect with the construction industry, expand your professional network, and unlock your potential.

The afternoon will be organized into a series of sessions designed to introduce you to the program, connect you with our community, and prepare you for career opportunities in the construction industry.

We will begin with an introduction to the UCLA Extension Construction Management certificate and an overview of the program, its curriculum, and the career paths it can help students explore.

Next, hear directly from Construction Management alumni during an alumni panel focused on their experiences in the program, career journeys, lessons learned, and perspectives on building a successful career in the industry.

A recruiter and industry panel will then bring together representatives from construction firms to discuss what employers are looking for, current hiring trends, career opportunities, and strategies for standing out as a candidate.

Students and alumni will also have opportunities throughout the event to network directly with recruiters and industry professionals. Bring your resume and be ready to make connections. Participants will have opportunities to share resumes with recruiters, receive resume feedback, participate in mock interviews, practice talking about their experience, and gain valuable feedback that can help prepare them for future interviews and career opportunities.

Recruitment tables will provide additional opportunities to meet participating companies, learn about their organizations, ask questions, and explore potential internships and full time positions.
